Manic Monday # 57

 

So long time no post.....life went a little off for a bit. Holidays and all the emotions that those are filled with and just a lack of overall holiday spirit. I was able to reconnect with some old friends...which helped enhance my mood. 

Weekend of December 10th- Well I did pick my preorders/ Ordes finally and while hanging out in local Warhamer Store, I purchased a Thunderhawk....for Aeronautic Imperalis. But this is 1 of 2 (or 3) Thunderhawks, I have planned for my collection. 

While joking around at the store, I was asked what army is it for and said my Grey Knights. I  few of the locals said they will let me use it as a Thunderhawk in normal games....gonna be odd cause of the lack of Footprint, but why not. 

On the 11th I decided to go out and play paintball with my friends and celebrate the live of those we lost over the years. And then I was informed we are playing in a tournment series starting in January. Well that measn more practices.  So last weekend (not christmas weekend) and the next 3 weekends will be Paintball related as i have scrimmages set up for the next 2 weekends with the 3rd week being the tournment. 

Well this weekend I had to get a some modeling done for The Warhammer Goodyear Necromunda Campaign start first of January. So I spent Wednesday 12/22 figuirng out my list and and building said models. Well there is 28 players and 6-7 are taking enforcers.....suck on bomb rats. Still tossing the idea between Cawdor or Redemptionist.

While watching the Batman Returns friday Evening I built my Thunderhawk.

Christmas night  I decided to start a project I was dreading. my Grey Knight Objective Counters. 

WORST KIT EVER- small attachment points. unclear instructions a true nightmare to build...perfect for lesser daemons breacking the warp. 

Sunday Morning I sat on the couch watching Ronin and started building a list around Ordo Malleus Inquistor, his retinue, and his inquistorial Stormtroopers.

Now I hate the heads on the Militarum Tempestus models, so I ordered alternative heads for them.

I will probably be ordering these from Pop Goes the Monkey 

The list will have My Ordo Malleus Terminator Inquistor Lord, 6 Acolytes, Astropath, Tempestor Prime, Command squad with dual plasma, 3 Squads wiht various loadouts of Militarium Tempestus, Commissar, Tech Priest Engineseer, Eversor Assassin, and Vendetta. I'm tradimg my buddy Entropmancer the unbuilt Chaos half of Shadow Spear (I have not intention of building) for unbuilt Tech Preist Engineseer and a box of Militarum Tempestus. I need to order a Start Collecting Militarum Tempest box, Valkyrie, FW Vendetta upgrade and Wheel upgrade for Taurox. 

Since I hate the plastic Commissar I purchased this model to represent my Commissar.

And then I started painting yesterday afternoon and only got 3 layers of Andrea Miniatures red base color on the models. 

Necromunda Reinforcements are Here....Finally.

 

Back on 11/06 I preordered some Necromunda from Games Workshop and Forge World. Well they both were finally delivered yesterday 12/08....ugh.

Good thing the Campaign starts in 2021.

So I need to run to the store and pick up my other preorder stuff that finally arrived and my STC brushes finally shipped too. Order those in October. 

So I need to work on my Cawdor/ Redemptionist for the campaign 

all here well the FW stuff is in my possession

Manic Monday #56

 Well its December......that means it is Red Gobbo time 

Ok this is all I have to say about the Red Gobbo....silly orks

Welp December is here and well I planned on getting a lot of modelling done this weekend and then I got my nieces and had other issues pop up during my time off and well not as much done as I had wanted. 

I was able to finish Interceptor Squad De Plessiez, and Repainted all my force weapons 

This put my army at exactly 1000 pts... PAINTED!!!!!👍

Well not wanting to lose momentum, I planned my next 250 pts out as the 2 Razorbacks " Long Swords". One was completed to weathering stage the other Im still blocking out colors.

While I was at it I took some more photos of my Grey Knights completed 

Manic Monday #55

 

Well Thanksgiving weekend came and went with out any major issues. Good food and no drama. It was nice....

Well Thursday Morning I got up at 4am to put my brisket on the smoker, and prepped all my veggies I was cooking (mushrooms and brussel sprouts) and at 5 am I realized that Dinner was @ 2pm so I had some time to Kill. 

I painted the name plates for the Achaddeus, Drystan and Icanus.

Friday I started building Gk Techmarine Talus's Razorback, resumed working on his Gk Servitors, Primed some vehicles and an Interceptor Squad. 

Saturday I focused on finishing the Servitors where they just need their bases done.

Interceptors I blocked out the colors and stopped before the washes.

Sunday I finished Servitors

And got the Interceptors to highlight stage

Etsy Delivery!

So last night I received my Second Custom Order from Etsy, I had placed on 11/06. This time the order was from The Dice Bag Studios. Trish the owner is so amazing, does quality work and is friendly. Her turn around time is great and her communication is on point. I am very pleased wtih my new dice bag!

Post 200! (Kill Team Saturday #9/ Manic Monday #54)

 

Wow 200 posts. I never thought it reach this many when this blog in 2015. Six years later and 2021 saw under just half the posts alone. Weird journey to say the least. To celebrate my 200th post Kill Team Saturday and Manic Monday will be combined into this post...Which will be updated almost daily and published on Monday 11/22

So continuing the previous weekend's project I returned to working on Grey Knight Justicar Alaric for Kill Team.

Monday night I did the washes on all but the Celestian Grey because the Carroburg Crimson was drying on the Mephiston Red.

So as I am working on this post (it's Tuesday 11/16) and looks like I am not going to get much time the next few days....to get my games over the weekend. I was hoping to have thes guys done for Friday but my Work Schedule is in  flux once again. I forgot I am working a few hours Thursday, 4 hrs Friday and now full 12 hrs Saturday...

Well it is Wednesday morning and time to see what happened last night. 

First off I received my custom order from The Dice must Flow Etsy Store  

Now my Adepta Sororitas have a dedicated spot to roll their dice in. It is actually larger than I thought it would be. 

On the hobby end I did not have a lot of time so I busted out the paints and glue last night and did the Nuln oil wash and Cadian flesh tone on Justicar Alaric.

Tonight I hope to do some highlights, touch ups, get him mounted to his base and do some weathering. 

Well its now Friday and I have been tied up with issues between work and everything

Saturday's progress, I continued working on Brother Martesias in an attempt to get him done. Well 

With the exception of his name plate.......DONE 3 of 5 and 1 day to go..

Sunday's Progress: Final 2 marines for Hand of Titan Kill Team: Brother Drystan and Brother Icanus

As you can See Brother Drystan and Icanus are almost completed just a few things to add.

Fun project, over all. I am glad they are done and now playable, and I can refocus on my Adepta Sororitas.
