I need to get me some more of those......LIKE NOW

So Khymara round one Tourney is almost done....we need a playoff between the Nids and the Guard players to see who swings the momentum in which sides favor.  Both Players went 3-0. 3rd went to our Death Guard player only loss was against the Nid player in a close game. 2 players (Thousand Sons and Tau) went 1-1-1 due to school, I went 1-2, and 2 players went 0-3 (Ravenguard and Genestealer Cult). All in all fun times. Beast of the Games was Vulture III my Predator Destructor. 8 wounds on the Thousand Sons Heldrake first turn and only turn of that game. It put the fear in the Deathguard Player in another close fought game for him.  Pounded the Guard for 5 straight turns while shrugging off hits. Owl I (Rifleman Pattern Dreadnought) was a close second. I am adding Owl II (same load out as Owl I) and Vulture II to the next list.....after I build them and some new toys to go with them the rest of the army.

I think I'll drop the Chaplain (he did ok, just not great), Melee Scouts, and Shotgun Scouts for a LT, more bolter scouts, and more sniper scouts. With the extra points (After Vulture II and OWL II), Ill add a Sternguard squad for more shooty death.

So the list would look like this:

Captain- Primarch's Wraith, Power Sword
LT- Master Crafted Bolter, Power Axe

Sternguard Squad- Vet Sgt Power Sword.
Rifleman Dread
Rifleman Dread

Scout Squad I- Bolters, Heavy Bolter Camo Cloaks
Scout Squad IV- Bolters Missile Launcher Camo Cloaks
Scout Squad V- Bolters Missile Launcher Camo Cloaks
Scout Squad VII- Sniper Rifles Heavy Bolter Camo Cloaks
Scout Squad IX- Sniper Rifles Heavy Bolter Camo Cloaks
Scout Squad X- Bolters Missile Launcher Camo cloaks

Scout bike Squad- 2 Grenade launchers and Veteran Sgt with Power maul

Predator Destructor- Heavy Bolters and stormbolter
Predator Destructor- Heavy Bolters and stormbolter.

Adepta Sororitas and me (Part 2)- What to do?

Debating how I want to paint my Adepta Sororitas army.

Option 1- Continue painting them as the Order of Our Martyred Lady

This is my current scheme and will allow me to not worry about how to paint tanks and allow me to use the Black Library characters. Only down side is decals are not available but Fallout Hobbies does custom decals.

Option 2- Go back to my Custom Lessor Order Militant- The Order of the Parthenon.

Here is the link to my the background to for them . Upside if and when GW gives us Order Tactics, I can use any order I choose. Down sides is they are kind of bland and the decal is gonna be a pain to make even with Fallout Hobbies doing them.

So I originally painted my Sisters of Battle into what would become the Post Armageddon Scheme and this was way before Armageddon campaign started. I really think I am gonna stick with the Order of Our Martyred Lady Design.......Plus I don't have to kill off my characters I have been using for years.

Adepta Sororitas and me (Part 1)

So I started playing 40k in 1997 with my DIY Space Marine chapter that would eventually become Space Wolves. While building them I would eventually end up purchasing the start of my favorite army.

During 2nd edition the Sisters of Battle was smaller release than we see currently.  And the Warriors of Redemption box army was a great start. You received a Canoness, Banner Bearer, 8 Bolter Sisters, a Sister superior, a Melta Gun, Multi Melta, 3 Seraphim with twin bolt pistols, Seraphim with twin flamers, and a Seraphim Superior with power sword and a plasma pistol. As an added bonus you received a little shrine, decals, Banner Transfers and like most modern kits now a "datasheet" to play the army. There were also 3 other box sets (Regular Battle Sister Squad, Seraphim, and Immolator) and a few blisters (Priests, Confessors, Special Weapons, Heavy Weapons, Characters).

Some interesting facts about the 2nd edition Sisters of Battle Codex release.

-If allied with an Imperium army the Canoness had to take a command squad. If the Canoness was equipped with a Jump pack the command squad had to take them too.

- You only had two types of infantry squads: Seraphim and Battle Sister squads.

- Command Squads were Seraphim

- Only Vehicles were Rhino and Immolator.

- Battle Sister Squads started at 5 models (including Sister Superior) and you could add a special weapon and/ or heavy weapon model to max the squad at 7.  Seraphim and Command squad were 5 models.

I believe I paid under $100 for the Warriors of Redemption Box and $20 for the codex. Eventually I would add a blister, box set or a vehicle here or there. I played a few games with them in 2nd edition by themselves and allied with marines.....I don't think I every won a game.

Stay tuned for Part 2 (3rd edition)

Immolator Mk Ib Build Update 2

Any progress is progress, Right?

So no real build updates since I started the build in November (part 1 & part 2) it has sat there gathering dust. Al ot of my issues were the side doors. I want this Immolator to have very Similar doors to the original model  which was not working as planned.

While looking on shapeways for other things one of my saved sellers had these for sale:

I finally placed my order today and they should be here in 9 days or so then i get to make them working doors :)

Check out the Reliquary for some other bits too.

What does the future hold

So the more I think about it the more I am not sure I will continue with the Raptor projects......I have 14 days until the tourney and no desire to continue  working on them at all. Time is limited at home with other projects and working 12 hours shifts at work plus other commitments. Just not sure what I want to do.....

On top of that my gaming time is limited to the point where I hardly have any time to ever make it out to play or have the desire to play 40k or 30k. I keep debating selling off my armies and keeping a small contingent of models (10th company Raptors and some support)

Adepta Sororitas- This would be the only army I keep if I decide to leave/ sell off the rest of my 40k stuff.....Over 20 years and I still love them. They are an army I have always loved and collected over the years. I need to get them painted and back on the table but I need the time and desire to paint them. While point and model wise not the largest I own it would receive most of the items I decide to keep that are Adepta Sororitas/ Adeptus Ministorum useable. Plus I have 20 something  Frateris Militia I need to add to the army. NO IMPERIAL SOUP. Also I have some Grishnak Models to use as my Shadow War: Armageddon Strike Team.

Current Paint Scheme: Order of the Martyred Lady

House Cawdor- One of my 2 chosen Necromunda Gangs over the last few years. I think they chose me, honestly. Currently I have 54 models for my House Cawdor gang with only one not being an actually GW model but a Malifaux Executioner to be counted as a Pit Slave/ Brute depending on what edition I am playing and credits I have. Currently I have 6 models done, 3 about 85% done and 1 not started using the legacy gang rules but i may change it around a bit.

Current Gang Name: Hunters of the Unfaithful

Cult of Redemption- My other chosen gang for Necromunda. I originally began collecting them as Redemptionist for my Sisters of Battle along with my Cawdor.....year later between the 2 gangs I'm almost at 100 models to include Klovis the Redeemer and Malakev. I have not started painting them but I think I will paint them up to match my Cawdor Gang.

Current Gang Name: N/A

Adeptus Arbites/ Palatine Enforcers- A collection of models I have that probably wont be sold either. Good for 40k, Shadow War or Necromunda. I have  Decent amount of both Enforcers and Arbites that I could build a small army of them but really it is all fan based rules so nothing official.

Current Arbite Location: In transit to Khymara

Current Enforcer Location: Khymara Hives- Unit 10-70 David

Adeptus Ministorum- What's an Adepta Sororitas army without Priests and other units from the Adeptus Ministorum.  Mine are supported by Frateris Milita and Cult of Redemption.
