Manic Monday # 81

Ugh love being a home owner......more construction on floors. Pantry, Laundry room, living room all are being replaced.

So with my house under construction my paint area is now a storage area. Entropmancer and I are splitting the special weapon set, and I purchased a plastic Sicaran. 

This weekend I preordered the Autocannon/ Lascannon/ Volkite Culverin weapon set (to split with Entropmancer) , 2 sets cards and my other heavy weapons (Missile Launcher/ Heavy Bolter).  One of the FB members had NIB Corvus Corax, Mor Deythan, Dark Fury, and 2 Mk VI shoulder pads for sale so I scoped them up. And pulled the Storm Eagle I got in trade many years ago out of storage and ordered another 40 more MK VI marines. Still another contemptor, a leviathan, and a another Sicaran.

 Well here is the progress.

Manic Monday # 80

 

Well Thursday sucked more than I thought. Discovered another leak that damaged my floors again. Refrigerator water line again. But cracked due to old age. So by the time this is done bathrooms and bedrooms will be the only parts with old flooring.....FML. Insurance is covering repairs for water damage but not for leak. Demo company is contracted and we shall see how fast this gets repaired.....last years repairs still not fixed. 

On the hobby front I was stressed and bought Horus Heresy Age of Darkness and Liber Astartes. Because all my living room furniture blocking my work area I am unable to work on my Grey Knight Paladins. Ok so I wanted to work on my Raven Guard. Wednesday I had bought my Dark Fury and Contemptor Dreadnought from Forge World.

Manic Monday #43

 Woot Woot...Finally got time to get some modeling done!

 So the week started out bad but it turned postive. Monday my Mailbox lock broke and my GF and I could not notify the USPS until Wednesday, which sucked since I had packages in the box. Wednesday the AC went out while I was working an 16 hour shift. So I had to contact my home warranty company and get that checked out. Luckily the company had a cancellation and was able to fix it Thursday. 

So Hobby updates:

Wednesday- Ordered Warhammer Plus and my Free model.

Thursday- I began moving my models back into the display Cabinets, starting with my Grey Knights. 

Friday- Moved my Raptors Space Marines, Adepta Sororitas, and the unbuilt vehicles for the Grey Knights over.  

In the evening I began building Castellan Crowe into sub assemblies to make painting him easier. I then built my 4 Assassins I have had sitting around for almost 2 years. I also picked up more Dr Drop Tops, GW Air paints, and White Dwarf  #467 while I was runnng errands. 

Saturday- With my overnight shift looming, I decided to relax and started building PAGKs. I was trying to decide between Interceptors and Purifiers and settled on Interceptors. So I built the Justicar weilding a Daemon Hammer, and with Entropmancer's suggestion, I built the 4 remaining guys as 2 swords and 2 halbreds. 

I found an extra blank shoulder pad and grabbed my Free Warhammer Store mini and removed one of the Grey Knight Shoulder pads and Now my Interceptor Squad has a 6th member with dual Falchions.

Once I was done I began removing  parts off the sprue and found 7 PAGK legs and I may have the torsos to make another unit....And this is before the 25 PAGK I have unbuilt in the boxes. 

While trying to take a nap, I received an amazon notification that Neewer 20in x 20in Light box I was watching was on sale for $25 off the $110 price. I was looking at for my GF's buisness and something I can use on occasssions I showed her and she liked it. 

I then ordered the Kill Team Ocatrius releases shown here and then I saw a Dreadknight on sale for $47 so I ordered a 5th Dreadknight. 

     

Sunday-  I got home from work and started looking at the 7 legs. I knew 1 set without Tabard was going to my 10 man Purifier Squad, Leaving me 6 legs. I grabbed the set of 4 legs, 4 torsos, backpacks, and weapon loadouts. I figured i get some sleep and then work on these when I get up. After my 3 hr nap I started working on Interceptor Squad 2- Daemon Hammer justicar, Dual Falchions for the squad to go with my free Warhammer Store Mini of the Month. 

I then began removing 5 Models off the sprue, along with 2 extra Incinerators, before heading off to lunch with the Family.

After getting home from lunch I started back to work on the 4 incinerator Purgation squad.

And after they were completed I like I finally accomplished something in my hobbying area after the last few months. 

Only 20 more PAGK's to build but 5 will be for Kill Team 2021. 

Manic Monday # 42

 

Well after almost 5 months the Water damage repair is just about done. ...one spot needs to be fixed. It has been a month since I had to dismatle my hobby area for the floors to be repaired. So the hobby area has been updated as it went back together. 

Ok so let's start off the week of "Hobbying"  for this Manic Monday.

Thursday (Normally a day off) - had to go to work and escort contractors around the building usually 830 am to 2pm. Yeah we were done by 1130 am. So I went to post office to pick up my Warhammer Merchandise artwork, got home changed and left to pick up my Grey Knights Preorder from the Warhammer store. I was able to exchange my 2nd Grey Knight Codex for a 9th edition Space Marine codex. I also purchased some nurgle paints and Retributor armor spray.

Friday (Normally a day off) - Got up at 6am did laundry and my normal Friday morning routine. Hit the gym, met Entropmancer at a gaming store to get my Reaver and some decals he ordered for me. I purchased another Dreadknight while there...not sure why but I think I have 3 not the 4 planned.  Picked up lunch and got ready for my overnight shift (545pm to 545 am). I did cave and order a Hexfire Castellan Crowe off of ebay for $40.

Satuday (Normally a day off- see a pattern)- got off at 545 am, home by 620 am after morning chores, spraying weeds, feeding cats, took a shower, laid down and took a 30 minute nap from 730am to 800am. Went to breakfast with GF, Post office to pick up my Warhammer Art package, Went to Lowe's home improvment for new bathroom towel racks and toliet paper dispenser, Farmer's market to pick up CBD (THC Free) Balms, lotion and oil, then across town to Ikea. After Ikea, had lunch, got groceries, and got home around 330 pm. I installed the new bathroom stuff.

I then started to tackle putting my hobby area back together @ 530 pm.

This is where I left off Saturday evening around 8 pm....I was beat and ready for bed. And realized I have been up for 38 hours  with a 30 minute nap. 

Sunday (Normal day off- yup) So my schedule is supposed to be Monday - Wednesday 545 am -545pm with a 4 hr filler randomly inserted. One of my co-workers was off so I partial covered his shift from 545am to 145 pm. So before my Scheduled Work Week (our schedule runs Fri- Thurs) even started I was at 20 hours worked. While at work I purchased some bits for The Techmarine rhino, and the GMNDK (I need to get back to working on models!). Got off work, went home changed and went to lunch with the family and then ran to Michaels to get picture frames. 

Once home I built the new ikea bookshelf and got to work in the hobby area.

Manic Monday #39

 

Man these OT shifts are taking are starting to wear me down. Second Week of 56+ hours in  a row. This week is only 52 hours followed by another 58 hour week....UGH.

Good news is new flooring is in and home repairs are just about completed. Bad news is Monday night after working a 12 hour shift I had to break down my hobby area. With all the repairs mostly completed My Girlfriend and I put the house back together and cleaned everything. I am happy to have my house back together and I will start redoing my hobby area. 

I did purchase a new overhead light from Neatfi on Amazon along with more Civitas Terrain.

This week I got some Forgeworld goodies for Adeptus Titanicus Various weapons, and terrain. Also My BattleBling name plates, Warhound arms, and Reaver arms are here. Along with my Winterdyne Banners. But my Big order from Tap that Game came in.

Funny thing was I about to order dice and decided to check WarComm first, glad I did. 

WarComm dropped the the Psychic Slugfest article  this morning featuring the 3 of the Thousand Cults out of the 9 available and 3 Brotherhoods of the Grey Knights out of the 8 Brotherhoods available. 

First up is the 3rd Brotherhood "The Wardmakers" ie  Grand Master Voldus and Brother Captain Stern's Brotherhood

Next up is the 4th Brotherhood know for the Prognosticars

And next up is the 1st Brotherhood "The Swordbearers". 

This is the brotherhood I am playing due to the sheer amount of Vehicles in my collection.

According to the WarComm article each Brotherhood is getting "signature Stratagems, psychic powers, and Warlord Traits. These subfaction psychic powers are taken in addition to the powers they already know, empowering your Psykers without taking anything away."

So with that in mind, I like this rule for the 1st Brotherhood but at the same time I don't. Im gonna be throwing some High Strength weapons on my vehicles already plus 1 to wound is Ok. At least it is 18 inches for the psyker and not 12 like the other ones.

     So thanks to the sell of one of my extra Adepta Sororitas Army boxes, I was able to take that money and purchase an Iwata Jet Lite Air Compressor. This is the same style airbush compressor my father has and that I have been using. 

He also gave me his bnib Iwata Gravity feed with Water trap Airbrush which will be my detail airbrush and I purchased this one for basecoating,

I already have the airbrushes now waiting on the compressor and other pieces to come in. Once I get my tax return I'll order this for my airbrush station.
