Manic Monday #48

 Well vacation is over….I’m sad.

I think every day this past week I did something 40K somehow. 

Monday- probably least amount done I started on the next Dominion squad with 4 melta guns. I only got the superior done but I was doing a day trip with the GF. And took pictures of the models based. 

Tuesday- I ran a few errands in the morning and around 10:50 I started smoking a brisket for dinner. I built the dominion squad, arco flagellants from the army box (now combat patrol) , repentia, repentia superior, and inferno pistol seraphim squad. 

Wednesday- I decided it was time to magnetize the bases for the models recently built. And then I realized might as well as build the penitent engines from the 2 army boxes as they were the final models to build. I then built a 3rd penitent engine and a mortifier with an Anchorite Sarcophagus. 

I then built 2 plastic priests.

And then did the job I was dreading trimming spruces…ugh 

Thursday- no models built but I did airbrush last weeks built and based models gloss black.

I then started spraying deathshroud clear on the previous airbrushed models. I ended up spraying all but the immolator as I run out of deathshroud clear (2 pots).

 I started brush painting and got the wound led sister on the hospitallers base done to finish out the night. 

Friday- brush paint day! I started working on models Mainly the wounded Sister on the Hospitaller's base and Palatine. 

Saturday- Some of my group and me went to check out the Soft Opening for the new store in our area, Old World Gaming. Not Bad Glad to see the Owner doing his own thing. 

Played a game with my Sisters at 1500 pts vs Entromancers Iron Hands marines. I botched the game forgetting my special rules, he killed all of my Melee troops, and dice went south. I did get to pull off my relics and and annoy him when my Canonness and Palatine charged his blob in the middle of the table. 

Sunday- Last day of vacation So I brushed more models. 

And built my 1st Paragon War Suit

Manic Monday #46

 Vacation Begins this Thursday! 

11 Days off! So needed. I plan on getting some modelling, cleaning, getting out of town for a day or two and hopefully get a game or two in...... I wonder when I'll get Salad and Go during that time. I have been getting it when I work my overnight shifts. It is delicious. (Buffalo Chicken Salad and Mango Green tea) 

So weekend progress:

Wednesday- Got home form working a 16 hr shift and the My Castigator, "Hail Mary" was there..... I opened box looked at instructions and went to bed walking away from it saying tomorrow...

Thursday - I was scheduled to work and it was cancelled so I did something I have been putting off. Highlighting my Adepta Sororitas so I can paint their armor with the airbrush. Surprisingly it took less time then I thought. And well I drybrushed the vehicles. So I pulled out the 2nd Immolator, and looked at the Castigator. After dinner I sat down and built the Castigator "Hail Mary".

 I was tired and decided not to start on the Immolator. I then receivied an offer from a Ebay Seller I could not refuse and purchased a 2nd Castigator. Now I just need more Rhinos and maybe another Immolator. 

Friday- It was nice outside when I got up @ 6am I started prepping to airbrush and checked time. I still had to make, eat and clean up after breakfast and get ready to leave for the gym at 830. I would not have time to airbrush and I was not going to start and leave it out. Gym Session ran longer than normal, dropped off a bpackage to usps, went back home emptied cargo area of jeep, got jeep washed, picked up lunch, and got home. Girlfriend was home from training and had to clena her her car so I laid down for a nap. Got up cooked dinner to take to work and ordered my Salad and Go. So no hobbying done. Only cause everything took longer than I had anticpated. I figured I can try to build 2nd Immolator, rest of my Adepta Sororitas Kill Team maybe my Sacresants and Zephyrim squads on Saturday and airbrush on Sunday including my Grey Knights Kill Team.

Saturday- It rained...out of no where. I was on the way back from meeting friends at Warhammer Scottsdale location sprinkled on me a little bit then poured for a few minutes making it nice and humid....Airbrushing is now out for the weekend. I built my Sacresants Celestians as planned but nothifng else

Decided to go Maul/ Plasma pistol on the Superior.

Sunday- Slept in and had a lazy Sunday. I built the Zephyrim Superior

And built the final 4 members of a my Adepta Sororitas Kill Team

I am going to base them the same as my Army so I have a 4th Battle Sister Squad. 

So overall a nice little build weekend. 

Still to build is 5 Zephyrim and the bases for them. I should just do the bases for the other squad of Seraphim too. Another Project for the Vacation.

So where are we now?

Thursday June 3-  With other things things going on I got to a little time in the evening to begin work on the last of my vehicles, Exorcist tank. Entropmancer Had sent me his paint progression so i sent him pics of the Exorcist I was working on. I did finish it that night before going to bed.

Friday June 4- With the airbrush compressor here and some other items I needed I began the long process of Airbruhing the models. I started with Scale 75 Black Metal focusing mainly on the power armor and then ending on Vallejo Metal Color Dark Aluminum on the infantry as a zenthal highlight. 

-Post dinner I went back out to airbrush the tanks with Vallejo Gloss Black Surface Primer.

Saturday June 5- Adepta Sororitas Preorder Day and Mom's birthday. Most of my Hobby time was spent going Warhammer Goodyear store and geting my Preorder in for more Sisters and Redemptionist/ House Cawdor for Necromunda. Then picking up my order from Da Scrapyard Ork for "Heart of Valour" Dice from the post office. 

With the limited time I had I sprayed the metallics (Scale 75 Black Metal and Vallejo Metal Color Dark Aluminum) in the same fashion as did with the infantry.

 

We are officially 1 week out at this point. Location has moved from the Games U to a friend's house. 

Sunday June 6- I was getting ready to start edge higlight 😒with Vallejo Dark Aluminum when I popped on Cult of Paint's tutorial again, when I realized I was missing the Vallejo Model Air steel. So all th models eventually went out for paint Sunday evening. Everything received a zenthial highlight of Vallejo Model Air Steel to end the weekend and were placed back in the display case.

• 05/20- 05/23-  Finish building the last 20 infantry model or so that I needed and start adding debris to their basing Completed
• 05/27 - Adding debris to bases for the models Completed
• 05/27- Build 2 Rhinos, an Immolator and an Exorcist - Vehicles at 66% completed 
• 05/28- Primed Gloss black Friday Vehicles and additional cherubs not primed
• 05/29- 2 WEEKS until Game Day
• 06/03-  Vehicles and cherubs build completed 
• 06/04- Primed Vehicles and cherubs Gloss Black and Sprayed Metallics on Infatry
• 06/05- 1 WEEK until Game Day
• 06/05- Sprayed Metallics on Vehicles.
• 06/06- Sprayed models with VMA Steel 
• 06/10- Highlight Models and spray Black Templar Contrast
• 06/11- Gloss coat
• 06/12- GAME DAY and Preorder Pickup 

With the location change I am not under as much of a crunch to get the models done.

 Memorial Day Weekend with Planned work days on Sunday and Monday....I had a busy 3 days to of modelling this weekend to reach my planned goals:

- evening I started on the 2 Rhinos I currently have in the army.
