Sneaky Sneaky

Same old broken record....too much work, house under construction, not time to paint blah blah blah

UPS is being difficult. Trying to Get my FW package and it is signature required, so signed slip to get package.....they pick up slip and leave black slip. WTF

Tortuga stuff arrived and well I got 1 MK3 tabard set instead of 2nd running legs....Entropmancer  will like those. 

Thanks to Hurricane Ian, my Etsy Shoulder pads are in Florida still. 

Decals, Librarian, back packs and shoulder pads  arrived. 

Saturday I saw most of the Metal Head Armory crew at a Local GS. Entropmancer and I traded bits (yes more MK 6 Helms!), half my Heavy Weapons for half the Support weapons, parts for my Chaplain, and purchased my Heavy Bolters and Missile Launchers. 

Sunday it was announced that the Land Raider Proteus was going on Presale Saturday.......WOOT WOOT. Since I only play inside the group I think I'm not going to build the assault ramp version as it looks less pleasing.....

What I built this weekend:

I added magnets to all my bases (40 32mm, 1 40mm, 1 60mm base and Storm Eagle's base)

So needing the instructions to build MK VI marines into Heavy Weapons (arms matching to bodies) I went ahead and built my 5 Autocannon and 5 Lascannon Heavy Weapon Marines.

After getting my half of the support weapon blister, I started building my Support Squad Rotor Cannon guys..

...only got partially through one model cause I needed to work on these guys. (I can probably sneak the Support Squad into work and build them there next weekend).

One of my favorite (non Legion Specific) Units are Seeker squads. I feel like they are the character hunters of Legions.....And I had to have a full 10 man Squad of them (plus a Proteus)

So still no painting done, house is still under construction, still working too many hours.....Same old song and dance.

Now for the Good, Bad, and Ugly

The Bad: 

Mighty Brush is blowing out their decals for ummm reasons. I really loved Luther's Decals for my Raptors so I bought a few more sheets to get me through what I have....I hope.

The Ugly: 

My preorders from Frontline Gaming arrived:  I preordered 2 set of cards, Pot of Corvus Black Air, Horus Hersey Heavy weapon set 1 (Heavy Bolter and Missile Launcher), and Horus Heresy Heavy Weapon Set 3 (Volkite Culverin, Autocannon, Lascannon). I received Horus Heresy Weapon Set 3 and 2 (Heavy Flamer, Multi Melta, and Plasma Cannon). Decided to keep set 2 and pick up set 1 next time I'm in a store. 

The Good:

Thursday I was finally able to pick up my Forge World stuff from the FB member  from USPS Office. So excited! All of it was New in Package. 

Plus my Warhmmer+ Year 2 subscription model and Pop Goes the Monkey Combi Meltas showed up too. 

Hobby Time:

Friday I built the Spartan Land Raider......OMG was it a pain. But I was done with all but 10 Mk VI Marines from Age of Darkness box and then..... 

another 40 Mk VI marines showed up. So now up to 50 Mk VI Marines to build....

Saturday I decide to start finish basing my built models, I still need to do the pumice on the Deliverers bases, But Praetor, Primus Medicae, Warmonger, 30 Tactical Marines, Contemptor, and Storm Eagle's bases are done. 

I have more stuff I ordered and should be arriving in the next few days:

• 2 Sets of Raven Guard Decals from eBay seller

• Raven Guard Contemptor (#2), 2 sets of Raven Guard Heads, and another set of MK VI Shoulder pads from FW.

• 5 sets of plastic Mk VI shoulder pads and back packs from eBay Seller

• Jensus Natorian Blood Raven Deathwatch Librarian (to be converted into a RG Librarian) from eBay Seller.

• 10 Sets of these Shoulder pads for my Mor Dethyan's

Manic Monday #62

 

So another weekend has come and gone. And I spent all but 1 day at work of my normal 4 days off...granted they were shorter shifts. So I was able to do some hobbying.

Thursday evening I built my "Hell Rain" Inquistorial Stormtrooper  Command squad, Primaris Psyker,  and finsihed building Grand Master in Nemesis Dreadknight.

Friday I decided to base and add magnets to all the modesl that needed them. 

Saturday I started highlighting the reds on Inquistion troops

And finally Sunday I started on black Cloth for Stormtroopers.

So it looks like my group is gonna do a crusade soon... And well I can paint my Sisters, finish my Raptors, or play my Grey Knights. I am leaning towards Grey Knights as I plenty of them done. So I need a Nemesis for my Warlord...Thinking  Khorne winged Daemon Prince.

So I have been sitting on some Aeronautic Imperialis models since the inital relase......I love how the Thunderbolt looks plus the first campaign was Rynn's World, so I had that attachment to it.. I hate how the game play of Aeronautica Imperialis and most aircraft based games for that matter. For me it is a really cool way to get these Aircraft I love. 

Currently I have the Wings of Vengenace starter, Ground Assets, Imperial Navy Dice and cards. 

2 Thunderbolts is not enough. And well I dont have the Skies of Fire starter and dont really want it. The Taros campaign maybe....probably for the aircraft art work, plus all the GW releases for Imperial Navy and Astra Militarium. 

So I purchased: 

4 Thunderbolts (2 will be Fury Variants)

2 Marauders (bringing total to 4)

2 Marauder Destroyers 

4 Avenger Strike Fighters

6 Lightning Fighters

4 AM Valkyries

More plastic for the  pile of Shame. 

Not sure what squadron or paint scheme I will be going with.

So a game want to play but is so expensive but it involves TITANs.....My Regular Opponent Entropmancer is in the same boat. I want it but so expensive. Well I took the dive and purchased the core rules with 2 knights, 2 Warhounds, 2 reavers and the rules.

I love Warhounds.....My favorite Titan so I bought another 2 plus the Loyalist Legio Book.

After we discussed my purchasing the starter and 2 warhounds and The loyalist legio book. Entropmancer is in. He even sent me a link to cheap Terrain out of the UK for Dropzone Commander

Then I purchased the Civitas Manfacturom Imperialis too

Thats a good start for us. Entropmancer and I began discussing the different Legios and which ones we would play. Entropmancer said he wanted to play Traitor Legio Kyrtos (God Breakers) due to their ties with IV Legion Iron Warriors from Great Crusade to Current times. I laughed causes I am leaning towards Legio Gryphonicus (War Griffons) With ties to the VII Legion Imperial Fists during the same time. The conversation eventually became the usual we want Epic 40k Battle for Tallarn...with tons of tanks, superheavy tanks, and titans. 

 After watching a few youtube videos I purchased some magnets from Magnet Baron, and Civitas Imperialis buildings to make ruins on bases and to swap weapons out. 

Then I ordered my Warlord Titan and some more stuff....Books I found used on ebay

As I was sitting around I started think how to make my Bases more unique.

So I missed out on epic and well it is still on the wish list just to have a Guard Tank Army.

The Pewter Epic stuff from GW is so expensive or hard to get since it has been out of print since 3rd edition 40k. I started looking on etsy to see what I could find
