Manic Monday #79

 

Well I was off 2 days this week and 4 next but  that is due to Floor remodel. After that one day off a week for Emperor knows how long. 

So I sat down an started blocking colors out on Grey Knight Paladins and only got so far.....I was distracted by another project.

Still need to do Gold on Psycannon models and then double check the others and do some highlights, scrolls and books and they should be ready to wash. Hoping to have them done next weekend. New Vow in 10 Days...... More Grey Knight Paladins and Character

So Entropmancer and I have been staring at the new HH Stuff and well he convinced me to build an army.... it was not that hard.

Hardest part about the Heresey is what army do I want to play:

Imperial Fists- Dorn is my Favorite Primarch, Storm Shields galore and Plastic Praetor Fafnir Rann! But yellow paint ugh

Sons of Horus- Big Man himself, Horus, Abaddon, Justerin Terminators, Terminators OH Yeah! All Terminators all the time will be a disaster in HH.

Raven Guard- Sneaky Stealthy, beaky! Umm no praetors, FW or GW, seems lacking.....

I pulled out my HH models I had at home and this was what I had

Fafnir Rann, 5 Reconnaissance Marines (Bought to be Raptor Sternguard), and Vigilator (for Lias Issoden Conversion).....Well Not wanting to paint yellow and with these models in hand the choice was obvious..

 

with this in mind I set off to start building.

Manic Monday # 78

 

Not a rough day.....but a rough few weeks. 

Back on August 1st, I vowed the following models:

Librarian #3 and 5 Paladins (from the 10 man squad). Well everything went sideways and I was not able to paint until this weekend.  

Got the tabards and heads done, started one the weapon hafts on the Paladins but did not take a picture.

Librarian #3 I was able to complete yesterday.

Manic Monday #77

 

Well another weekend has came and went. Painted models, built a model, and played a Campaign Game for the Metal Head Armory Necromunda League. 

Painting/ Hobby Time:

On Monday in the Necromunda Campaign Rackets and Crock Pots the GM Entropmancer random drew our Rackets. I got Settlement Protection and Whisper Brokers. With Settlement Protection I was able to get 1 free Hanger On. Unfortunately I am lacking the parts to make the Flagellant but I did have parts to make a Hive Preacher.

Thursday evening/ Friday morning I finished my Bolter and Chainsword 12 Months of Hobby Challenge July Vow #3 and the priest for my Plodding Along Vow.

And then began working on the 5 Acolytes remaining, and by Friday evening 2 Acolytes were completed

Saturday I did some light running around and then  had my challenge Match against Unkle Sterben's Orlocks more on that later.

Saturday evening  I was tired after playing my campaign game but I managed to build another Zealot named Dumah for my Gang.

And to wrap up the weekend I was able to finish a 3rd Acolyte leaving 2 more to get done by the end of the month.

Game Time

So this week I challenged Unkle Sterben to a Necromunda game. The Racket I chose was Peddlers of Forbidden Lore, since this would link my Whisper Brokers Racket (D3 additional Tactic cards), and  allow me to choose which racket we are fighting over, and re-rolling priority if I win for PoFL Racket. Lots on stack after last weeks non showing. Entropmancer rolled the mission an scenario. Luckily for me it was Zone Mortalis so Blaze could be very dangerous. Unkle Sterben rolled badly for his deployment and deployed his gang. I stacked my Gang in my deployment zone and the game Began. Unkle Sterben won the priority roll and went first. Turn outs there was only 2 doors we could use to get into combat with each other. First turn was just redeploying of models with one door open. I lost priorty again and the shooting commenced.

 Unkle Sterben open fired with his harpoon gun and missed my Deacon with an Eviscerator, Deacon with a fire pike returned fire and set the 2 Orlocks on fire with one gaining a serious wound and leaving game. Next Unkle Sterben braved the guys on fire and open fired with his combat shotgun on the deacon with Eviscerator but only managed to blast the Deacon's cherub off the table. My Next turn saw me boss open a door and fire his exterminator into the Orlock Juves behind the door. One ran 11 inches while on fire the other ran 5 and the guy closest to door was pinned. And the juve got back up and attempted to auto pistol my Boss only to knock his cherub to the ground with a injury. My Brethren with  Grenade Launcher moved up and fired at the down models my Deacon had set on fire earlier, removing a second model. We both finished moving models and looked at the table. He had his boss and pet a broken juve and 2 gangers standing with 4 models down and 2 out. He voluntarily bottled to save his guys from the slaughter.

PoFL Racket achieved. With the money I earned this game and last week I was able to buy another Zealot Dumah, armor for zealots, incombustible hambruk for fire pike deacon and skin blade for the boss. 

Manic Monday #76

 

Its that time I year I hate....Heat Advisory time....today is expected to be 114* to 116*. So definitely going to stay hydrated and and stay our of sun as much as possible.

HOBBY TIME

So besides that I have a slight hiccup in modeling time this week due to emergency call off and working extra hours. But oh well. Friday and Saturday, I sat down to paint and was able to knock out part of my 12 month Hobby Challenge on Bolter and Chainsword Plodding long vow....a Servo Skull

Small Victories... Well I did also finish the last 2 models for July Vow #2 also

So far in the month of July I have completed 14 Grey Knight Terminators and a Servo Skull...I am pretty happy with those numbers:

Along with my plodding along vow of 5 Acolytes and 1 Priest for My Inquisitor. 

Saturday Afternoon was Necromunda game time, more on that later. But I was able to get my Inquisitor Erasmus Cartavolnus model from Entropmancer. And I set up his sub assemblies for the next vow.

I also purchased my Next Gang for Necromunda.....and possibly 40k.

Vehicle- Check

Just need to get the Book of Ruin for them. I also already picked up codex and cards.

And then I was able to purchase my 2nd Thunderhawk for my Grey Knights this one will be built in Flight mode. 

GAME TIME

So Saturday kicked off Metal Head Armory Necromunda Campaign. It was a multiplayer Zombie hunt game.  Each of the 7 Players got 3 random models from their gang. In attendance were Entropmancer with his Goliaths, Unkle Sterben with his Orlocks, HeiYuh13 with Corpse Grinders, GrimmWeiss with his Cawdor, Ramah Stormset with his Enforcers, gameranma with van saars and my Redemptionist. GrimWeiss had 2 gangers so he got an additional 2 cawdor gangers for a total of 23 player models. We were fighting each other and zombies..3 zombies per model on the table....69 zombies. 

This was the start of the game. After 3 turns we called it. I had 1 zombie kill, no flamer fuel, autopistol was put of ammo, I did manage to piss off the Enforcer player by setting his concussion rifle enforcer on fire. The Van Saar Leader did fire his lascannon and failed to wound, pinning my cherub. I did fire a exterminator in to 2 Orlocks but that was cause there was 2 zombies in melee with them....did not kill either one but made and orlock and zombie fall of the gantry.  After the game we realized this should have been 2 games instead of one. Next week I am challenging Unkle Sterben to game!

Manic Monday #75

 

Well it is the Fourth of July and I'm off work for the holiday. It is nice having the time off and well I made a lot of hobby Progress! So let's get started.

Bolter and Chainsword June Vow on 06/26 was my 1250 credit Redemptionist Gang for the upcoming Metal Head Armory campaign.   Completed on 06/30...

For my July Vow on 07/01 I vowed 5 man terminator squad. Here is how they started.

And when I finished them on 07/02.....

For my 2nd July Vow I am painting 8 more Terminators (Squad of 5 plus 3 heavy weapon terminators)

I resumed working and finishing my foot mounted 2nd Brotherhood Grand Master Wilhelm de Sonnac

And on Monday July 4th, I finished Terminator Squad Gerold Wandalin

So with my the 5 Adepta Sororitas I painted a few weeks ago and these models here is the Completed current count:
