Kill Team Saturday #8

 

So it is pre- order Saturday and I will be going to the store and throwing money down on the Chalnath starter. 

I am a little anxious after my last few issues with GW Preorder issues:

• Grey Knights not shipping on time and got them a week later than everyone else.
• Not Getting Stormcast Eternal stuff for like 2-3 weeks later
• Ordered medium STC brushes- 20 day wait time...

I really have not talked about the articles released last week and have been super busy with normal life stuff. So we are gonna discuss the multiple Warhammer Community articles here, today.

Here we see their 40k rules. But all the specialist options are not there. Hopefully WD471 will have the rules hint hint

Final Thoughts

Well unless I score a 2nd squad for decent price I don't see me taking the specialist so I can use them in 40k and I am not planning on more than 1 squad in 40k. Also Superior is losing her hat. overall I am excited to get a new troop choice for my Adepta Sororitas but honestly would have had Redemptonist or Frateris Militia.

Manic Monday # 51

I continued working on my Stormcast eternals and I am down to only having the  folloing models to build:

• 9 Judicators*
• Celestar Ballista
• Yndrasta
• Stormcast Endless spells

* I ran into an issue building the Judicators ie they annoyed me during the build phase i had to stop. 

So with being irrated with the judicators I switched to Necromunda to work on my Team for Upcoming Necromunda Goodyear  Warhammer store Campaign .

Kill Team Saturday #7/ Age of Sigmar #1

 

Warhammer Community had a fluff piece this week for the upcoming Chalnath Kill Team War Zone that included this nice piece of artwork. 

So I finally started building some models from my Ven Brecht's Black Watch, Dominion and Get  Started magazine. With the exception of the Dominion models the models are older editions. 

So far I have built:

• Knight-Incantor from Get Started magazine
• Lord- Imperatant with Gryph-hound from Dominion
• Knight- Vexillor with Banner of Apotheosis from Dominion
• Knight- Arcanum from Dominion
• 3 Praetors from Dominion
• 3 Annihilators from Dominion
• Lord-Veritant with Gryph-hound from Ven Brecht's Black Watch

Still to build:

• 10 Judicators
• 10 Vindictors
• 3 Castigators w Gryph-hound*
• 6 Gryph-hound
• Yndrasta
• Stormcast Endless spells

I recently purchased Age of Sigmar Rulebook from Dominion starter, Celestar Ballista and Start Collecting! Stormcast Vanguard Lord-Aquilor on Gryph-charger, 5 Vanguard-hunters, 3 Vanguard-Palladors, and 3 gryph-hounds**. 

I still have to figure out what sub faction I'm playing either Anvil of Heldenhammer or Hallowed Knights but they are finally gettign built.

*Why oes this unit come with a model they still can't take.

*ok I would have 12 gryph-hounds if I don't take Lord-Imperatant or Lord Veritant

Games Workshop dropped KT faq's on WARCOM

The most important thing was the updates for the Ecclesiarchy

Page 52, Battle Sister Fire Team, Specifications Add the following:

‘Your kill team can only include up to one BATTLE SISTER ICON BEARER operative.’

Certain individuals were exploting this rule. 

Otherwise no real updates on my Kill team.

So Warhammer Community dropped this little nugget on 09/20

"Novitiates Take to the Field for the First Time

Before they become fully fledged Battle Sisters, aspirants must prove their piety on the front lines. Known as Novitiates, they are usually deployed as kill teams with an experienced Sister Superior directing their youthful zealotry.

Novitiates are completely new to the 41st Millennium, and as you’ve come to expect from Kill Team releases, their kit is incredibly flexible and comes with dozens of options to let you build your team as you see fit.

They wield a wide array of sanctified weaponry, from humble autoguns to ancient maces. One can even carry a pair of neural whips, which are just as handy for driving your operatives forward as they are for lashing your foes. There are ten sisters in total, with twelve different types of operative to pick from."

The article also describes the terrain and world a little more. I think the release is sooner than later.....I think it will be up for pre order in the next few weeks. 

Kill Team Saturday #4

 

Warhammer Community Gen Con preview hit us with the next Kill Team Expansion- Kill Team Chalnath. 

Now I like Kill Team and I get excited for releases but this time around I figured we would not get new models like previous editions and the Ork Commandos and DKoK were the only models for Kill Team. 

Happily I was very vrey wrong. 

Chalnath features Tau vs Adepta Sororitas.

I don't care about the Tau. I will be selling mine so it's not an issue for me. Now Adepta Sororitas Novitiates, I want.

From the WarCom article: 

"A wayward Adepta Sororitas fleet from a passing War of Faith finds itself in the Vedik System largely by chance, discovering a core world rife with xenos corruption. Among the kill teams deployed to the surface are bands of Novitiates, zealous Battle Sisters in training looking to prove themselves worthy of advancement.These lighter-armed and armoured teams train aspirants for many of the Adepta Sororitas’ minor Orders, and they carry a wide variety of holy relics into battle. "

No I agree with a lot of people that the color pallet the GW Studio chose is odd. but I already know how I am painting my Novitiates as and The Superior will of course be Order of the Valorous Heart.

Plus the terrain in the box set is pretty nice too.

 

In other Kill Team news the following things were released from the community members and are not official. 

Data card app A cool little app that allows you to print your own data cards from your Battlescribe list. (I have not tryed it yet.)

Cheat Sheet v1.1  Bolter & Chainsword User Lord Raven 19 created this nice little cheat sheet

Because this was discussed: "In the Sister of Battle Discord server on the Kill Team Channel they are discussing the use of taking nothing but Icon Bearers. The reason for this is the Icon Bearer boosts its APL from 2 to 3. This is legal according to the rules because the limitation is on the gunner and Heavy gunner and not the Icon Bearer."
