 Well I made some odd purchases this week.

On the Grey Knight front I purchased the following items:

Well I wanted to work on something this weekend but between extra shifts on Thursday and Saturday it was kinda hard too. Hopefully next week I can get something done. 

Brotherhood change

 

So I have really been thinking a lot about my Grey Knights lately.  Between the Completed, Built, and Unbuilt portions of the army it is pretty decent size. 

Originally I Selected the 7th Brotherhood because of the times to the Inquisition. As I continued my quest of collecting my army as I saw fitting for the groups campaign for the siege of Khymara. As I removed units from other armies (Deathwatch land raiders and flyers as an example) I added them to the Grey Knight Pool. This created a huge armory of vehicles.

Add in to the fact I have a Techmarine and 8 Servitors playing the 7th, just does not seem right.  So I am switching to the 1st Brotherhood

Manic Monday # 29

 

Well It was a semi successful build weekend.....

So my planned projects for this past weekend (05/20- 05/23) was to finish building the last 20 infantry model or so that I needed and start adding debris to their basing. 

Well, the Infantry is all built finally....all 67 models...whew. I had to do some converting to get my a Sister Superior to look different along with the Simulacrum Imperialis for the 3rd Battle Sister squad. 

Only basing done was the wall debris for the 7 Seraphim. The Seraphim, Zephyrim, St. Celestine, and the Geminae Superia will have walls....maybe the Mortifier and Petinent Engines too...

I will need to crank out adding debris to bases for the models and Build 2 Rhinos, an Immolator and an Exorcist Thursday (05/27) in the hopes of getting everything Primed Gloss black Friday (5/28). Saturday (05/29) is 2 weeks from the models hitting the table top. Still need to do both metallics, highlight and then smoke coats which will be in the final 2 weekends. I am hoping to brush a few colors on Friday 6/11 to get that table top standard......

I also picked up a Battlefoam 352 Magnarack to transport my models from my FLGS Imperial Outpost Games. But to fully transport them I picked up some magents to put in the bases from Magnet Baron.

I also picked up these 2 items from Little Print Shop 121 on etsy.

I did also bring my Necromunda stuff home from my parents house. Well some of it my Pewter Cawdor Army is still there. One of the Plastic Cawdor Squads will be losing some models to make issonaries/ Preachers for my Order of the Valorus Heart Adepta Sororitas. 

Daemons.........

 So other day I went to my FLGS Imperial Outpost to see what caught my eye. I had already purchased my night haunt spirit hosts for objective counters and have an idea in my head for my Grand Master Wilhelm De Sonnac of the 7th Brotherhood. 

The base model will be Voldus but I am  changing out the Hammer for a Halberd and so other minor things too. I already have a body started (of the 3 Voldus models I have) and have removed the "tactical Rock" from under his hammer and foot. 😒

As a replacement for said "Tactical Rock" I am going with roasted mutant/ Daemon from the Sisters of Battel box set. 

And hopefully I can have the halberd in the model. I want to change the pose of his stormbolter arm too, but we will have to see on that one. 

With the burnt Mutant/ Daemon on his base Grand Master De Sonnac is going to need a more specialized base. 

So with that in mind I hunted down Vince Venturella's Hobby Cheating Episode # 94 "How to make Urban Bases" on YouTube. for some ideas. I want to elevate him so he is more imposing and possibly mount him on a 50mm base.

Remember I said I want to my  FLGS  to see what caught my eye. More Basing material. 

Daemons to put on bases. I need to pick up poxwalkers, other daemons, and cultist but I like where this is headed so far.

Project idea

 So one of the things Entropmancer and I are trying to do with our group is having Objective Counters for each army.  

My Raptors 10th Company/ Scout Company are using the Terminator Teleport Beacons as a relay station.

 

My Mortifactors 3rd Company will be using Skulls from Ebay seller JesusGold7 as seen below

My Order of the Valorous Heart Adepta Sororitas I currently have no clue. 

My 7th Brotherhood of Grey Knights I have been thinking of using spare bits and different things but it does not feel right. I started looking at other models in the GW range focusing on models on 40mm or larger bases. then I saw the Night Haunt Spirit Host models. 3 Models not badly priced and on 50 MM bases.

So the goal is to remove weapons and paint them up as Undivided Daemons coming through a warp breech. Which means they will work for my Exorcists too.

I love my Raptors army. Even if GW screwed me over making scouts elite choices. They are a labor of love. I was taking photos recently and I was disappointed to find out that I did not have as much completed as I had thought. 

This is not including Team 7 because that is for Kill Team.

Surprise Thursday Post

                         Well my work week has winded down and I started working on some models for my weekend project.

So this weekend I started working on the terminators I had started by adding their Stormbolters. 

Then I decided to work on my Servitors and Inquisitorial Alcolytes

Then I started working on the other 8 Terminators I had waiting to get built. 

In the process of building the 3 Paladins and Other Terminator Squad. I found I had another box of Terminators bring me up to 15 more to build.

While visiting my parents today I grabbed another 2 Razorbacks and this little beast.
