Manic Monday #76

Its that time I year I hate....Heat Advisory time....today is expected to be 114* to 116*. So definitely going to stay hydrated and and stay our of sun as much as possible.

HOBBY TIME

So besides that I have a slight hiccup in modeling time this week due to emergency call off and working extra hours. But oh well. Friday and Saturday, I sat down to paint and was able to knock out part of my 12 month Hobby Challenge on Bolter and Chainsword Plodding long vow....a Servo Skull

Small Victories... Well I did also finish the last 2 models for July Vow #2 also

So far in the month of July I have completed 14 Grey Knight Terminators and a Servo Skull...I am pretty happy with those numbers:

  • Completed Model Count for 2022: 63 models
  • Warhammer New Years Resolution (Paint all 52 GK Terminators by 12/31): 30 of 52- 57% Complete
  • Bolter & Chainsword: 12 Months of Hobby Challenge: Jan-Mar, June, July- Completed

Vow #3 will be this little guy

Along with my plodding along vow of 5 Acolytes and 1 Priest for My Inquisitor.

Saturday Afternoon was Necromunda game time, more on that later. But I was able to get my Inquisitor Erasmus Cartavolnus model from Entropmancer. And I set up his sub assemblies for the next vow.

I also purchased my Next Gang for Necromunda.....and possibly 40k.

Boss- Check

Gangers- Check (20 of them)

Champions - Check

Vehicle- Check

Just need to get the Book of Ruin for them. I also already picked up codex and cards.

And then I was able to purchase my 2nd Thunderhawk for my Grey Knights this one will be built in Flight mode.

GAME TIME

So Saturday kicked off Metal Head Armory Necromunda Campaign. It was a multiplayer Zombie hunt game.  Each of the 7 Players got 3 random models from their gang. In attendance were Entropmancer with his Goliaths, Unkle Sterben with his Orlocks, HeiYuh13 with Corpse Grinders, GrimmWeiss with his Cawdor, Ramah Stormset with his Enforcers, gameranma with van saars and my Redemptionist. GrimWeiss had 2 gangers so he got an additional 2 cawdor gangers for a total of 23 player models. We were fighting each other and zombies..3 zombies per model on the table....69 zombies.

This was the start of the game. After 3 turns we called it. I had 1 zombie kill, no flamer fuel, autopistol was put of ammo, I did manage to piss off the Enforcer player by setting his concussion rifle enforcer on fire. The Van Saar Leader did fire his lascannon and failed to wound, pinning my cherub. I did fire a exterminator in to 2 Orlocks but that was cause there was 2 zombies in melee with them....did not kill either one but made and orlock and zombie fall of the gantry.  After the game we realized this should have been 2 games instead of one. Next week I am challenging Unkle Sterben to game!

Manic Monday # 74

"If it does not hurt, it does not count!"
Klovis the Redeemer

Well it is amazing what a few days off  (Wed- Sun) will do for you. I was able to get a ton of painting done this weekend, with the exception of Sunday, but still painted. I feel rested and ready to get this week over with to take Thurs- Mon, off. Hurray Holiday Weekend. Well lets get busy talking about the paint projects and Hobby life.

With Metal Head Armory Necromunda Campaign starting soon, I really needed to decide on which gang to build. Well So Far we have: Van Saar, Goliath, Cawdor, Orlock, Enforcers, Corpse Grinder cult (questionable) and well either my Delaque or Cawdor, or Redemptionist....So full blown Redemptionist it is. I needed to restart my 12 months of Hobby challenge on Bolter and Chainsword so I vowed my Redemptionist. So step 1 ensuring I had enough models built for starting 1250 credits. I didn't so I had to convert a Brethren Specialist with Grenade Launcher

Cherubs I stole from my Adepta Sororitas before finding 2 unbuilt ones

So I primed them Wraithbone and went to work on a test model.

Brethren Specialist Camael

I was very happy with how he came out. so I started working on more of them.

And eventually I started just working on model to replicate the Specialist's scheme

Brethren Specialist Camael, Deacon Sarathiel, and Cherub Asmodel

Well by the time the weekend was done this is where I am at with my Redemptionist Gang "By Faith and Fire"

and I did locate my "Rogue Doc" Figure I'm using for my gangs.

Model is from the old Tanith First and Only Pewter kit, Chief Surgeon Tolin Dorden.  I need to strip the model and start prepping him for games.

On the non painting hobby front, Book of the Outlands which has VDR in it was released.

I was not going to buy it but the local Warhammer Store said it will be part of the next years campaign along with Book of the Outcasts.

So I will need to  get a copy of the Book of Outcasts too. I think I am going to pick up the Necromunda Hive War box set, for the terrain and models.

This would give me the much need 10 more Delaque models I need, Terrain, Entropmancer needs a new rulebook, and accessories we will need. And well the Eschers....Yeah I may build and paint them.

And on Preorder this saturday.......

In other Hobby news, Bolter & Chainsword has gone through a major upgrade on servers, and well they added new Moderators, including yours truly, so I will definitely be busy on there.

Manic Monday #73

So my last post was April 11th... 2 months, 1 week 2 days ago....and during that time I have painted a blistering 6 models and those were this week!

But otherwise my past few weeks have been like this.....

Like a true Capricorn, I powered through it and back to where I need to be. And Bolter & Chainsword is down for a much need upgrade and I am looking forward to the new digs and being able to post there again.

Onto the modeling front:

So Metal Head Armory is doing a Necromunda Campaign....I'm torn between Redemptionist or Delaque and well neither gang is painted or built to my standards for this type of fight.....yet.

On the 40k Front....

I started back to working on my April Vow of Battle Sister Squad and Cherub.....

This is where they ended up after the weekend

Before deciding to continue on the next 5 members of the squad I figured I work on the Repentia Superior.

Finally got around to painting her flames and whips....

Since I was painting flames I started on another model that has molded flames.....Pious Vorne

She got a lot of attention and still alot to do on her.

I did get my Warhammer+ Year Membership model 3 months early since I was already subscribed to the apps.  I don't think I am going to build and paint him as hes not really game friendly (not a removable model from the terrain)

Its a short week for me so hopefully more painting done this week/ weekend

So 16 hrs in before my Work Week starts......
